Imperial Russian Medal – For the Pacification of Hungary and Transylvania 1849

This medal is a reproduction of the Russian award established by Emperor Nicholas I in 1850 to commemorate the 1849 campaign in Hungary and Transylvania during the European revolutions. Russian troops supported the Austrian Empire in suppressing the Hungarian uprising.
