Russia's victory brought part of Moldavia, the Yedisan between the rivers Bug and Dnieper, and Crimea into the Russian sphere of influence. Though a series of victories accrued by the Russian Empire led to substantial territorial conquests, including direct conquest over much of the Pontic–Caspian steppe, less Ottoman territory was directly annexed than might otherwise be expected due to a complex struggle within the European diplomatic system to maintain a balance of power that was acceptable to other European states and avoided direct Russian hegemony over Eastern Europe.[3][page needed]
Nonetheless, Russia was able to take advantage of the weakened Ottoman Empire, the end of the Seven Years' War, and the withdrawal of France from Polish affairs to assert itself as one of the continent's primary military powers.[4] The war left the Russian Empire in a strengthened position to expand its territory and maintain hegemony over the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, eventually leading to the First Partition of Poland. Turkish losses included diplomatic defeats that saw its decline as a threat to Europe, loss over its exclusive control over the Orthodox millet, and the beginning of European bickering over the Eastern Question that would feature in European diplomacy until the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in the aftermath of World War I.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0714/3155/3218/files/1_34b743bf-2bab-4af3-912a-e30086f1493e.jpg?v=1785748482
imperial-russian-medal-for-service-and-courage-peace-with-sweden-1790-a46-reproduction
Imperial Russian Medal For Service and Courage Peace with Sweden 1790 A46

Material: Brass (antique finish)

Description:
reproduction of the Imperial Russian Medal for Service and Courage – Peace with Sweden, established during the reign of Catherine the Great to commemorate the signing of the Peace Treaty with Sweden in 1790.

It was conferred in recognition of service in the Russo–Swedish War of 1788–1790.
The reverse inscription translates to: “For Service and Bravery” and “Peace with Sweden Concluded 3 August 1790”.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0714/3155/3218/files/1_d1a39489-7164-4a4b-aed7-75e2493ddb28.jpg?v=1785748485
imperial-russian-medal-cross-for-bravery-in-the-capture-of-ishmael-1790-a31-reproduction
Imperial Russian Medal – Cross for Bravery in the Capture of Ishmael 1790 – A31

Material: Brass (modern reproduction)

Size: approx. 54 × 48 mm (2.12 × 1.88 in)

Weight: approx. 24.9 g (0.88 oz)

This is a modern reproduction medal, inspired by the Imperial Russian cross of 1790 commemorating the storming of the fortress of Ishmael during the Russo-Turkish War (1787–1792).

The original cross was awarded to officers who took part in the capture of Ishmael, one of the most decisive Russian victories led by General Alexander Suvorov.

The award symbolized courage and valor in Catherine the Great’s army, marking an important chapter in late 18th-century Russian military history.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0714/3155/3218/files/1_64cf1be8-cf78-40df-9919-c00fde2fc2cc.jpg?v=1785748488
imperial-russian-medal-award-cross-for-the-capture-of-bazardzhik-1810-a164-reproduction
Imperial Russian Medal – Award Cross for the Capture of Bazardzhik 1810 – A164

Material: Brass (modern reproduction)

Size: approx. 40 × 33 mm (1.57 × 1.29 in)

Weight: approx. 9.4 g (0.33 oz)

This is a modern reproduction medal, inspired by the Imperial Russian award cross established in 1810 to commemorate the capture of the Turkish fortress of Bazardzhik during the Russo-Turkish War (1806–1812).

The original cross was awarded to officers of General N.M.
